This was a fun event in which many people 'picnicked' and relaxed while listening to a speech by Allen Herskowitz of the NRDC, as well as anectodes detailing the progress of different action groups in the community. We then all split into groups to formulate ideas to instill in our local community, which will actually be proposed. There were many groups who in addition to speaking, set up displays, including John Jay's own Environmental Club, with a SIGG bottle sale. The night ended with a bang as the Name Crisis, a John Jay band, captivated the audience, young and old.
